In 2025, DORA surveyed nearly 5,000 technology professionals worldwide. The findings confirmed what many enterprise teams already feel. Individual productivity from AI is real and widespread. And yet, AI adoption is simultaneously associated with increased software delivery instability — more rework, more failed deployments, more downstream chaos. These two things are both true at the same time.

Fast code generation does not solve
